The Teachers

All our teachers have
completed the required three years full time training, are members of STAT
(the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) and
adhere to a published code of ethical and professional standards.

Formerly a researcher and lecturer in social anthropology, he qualified in 1985. He became interested in the AT after breaking his leg in a motorbike accident. He now runs workshops for doctors and members of the British Dental Association. He is co-author of three books on the AT including Explaining The Alexander Technique (Mouritz 2004). |

She has been teaching the AT since 1984, has extensive experience in giving seminars and workshops and is co-author of The Alexander Technique for Pregnancy and Childbirth (Gollanz 1995). She currently teaches AT for actors at the City Lit and runs a practice in Bloomsbury WC1. She also teaches in Singapore. |

From a commercial background, David
initially used the AT to
overcome a knee problem. He qualified in 1986 and teaches in adult education and
at a large solicitors' practice. David is a qualified natural vision teacher. He
also practices in Golders Green. |

|
Kamal got involved with the AT due to persistent back pain. From a business background, he understands the pressures and demands of commercial life and the impact that stress has on the body. He holds workshops in the workplace for organisations like Chanel. He also teaches AT and T'ai Chi in South London: www.alexanderteacher.net. |
